Ocular infections:

Indications for ZYMAXID:

Susceptible bacterial conjunctivitis.

Adults and Children:

<1yr: not established. ≥1yr: 1 drop every 2hrs in affected eye(s) while awake (max 8 doses) on day 1, then 1 drop in affected eye(s) 2–4 times daily while awake on days 2–7.

Warnings/Precautions:

Discontinue if superinfection or hypersensitivity occurs. Corneal endothelial cell injury. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers.

Pharmacologic Class:

Quinolone.

Adverse Reactions:

Worsening conjunctivitis, irritation, dysgeusia, eye pain/discharge.
